Naming your blog

Now I remember why I've tried to start blogging and never followed through - there are so many choices to make! First you have to decide what to name your blog. And of course it has to be clever. "Batten Down the Hatches" That or very prosaic. "The Hatch Family" But then you're stalled by whether or not the blog address is available. Makes a person want to give up before they ever get started. 

But I've finally picked a name. The HatchWay. Somewhere between clever and prosaic. 

And I've come up with a way of doing things (drat, I know there's a better way of saying that, but I can't think of it. M.O.? Theme? Business plan? Motto? Agh! Its going to bug me til I think of it!). Anyway. So this is what the blog is for me: 

1) A way of keeping distant loved ones involved and up-to-date with my life. 

2) A journal. It ain't gonna happen any other way. 

3) An opportunity put my witty, charming, and intelligent personality out there. I think some amazing things gosh darn it! 

4) An emotional outlet. Roughly translated - I ain't always going to be nice. I'm going to tell it like I see it. If you don't like it, don't read it. :D 

I like to write the way I talk. That includes asides, tangents, random thoughts and slang. 

Ultimately, this blog is for me. If you find it entertaining, great. If not, be ye on your merry way.
